Keicher Elementary School houses 412 students in third, fourth, fifth and sixth grades. The school is located on Broad Street in Michigan Center School District. Keicher Elementary and the old Community Education Center building are now connected as one building, with three new classrooms and a centralized office. An addition to, the Keicher-west cafeteria was completed in the summer of 2003 and provides additional seating for the fifth and sixth grade students. The Michigan Center Daycare and Preschool programs are also housed at Keicher.
Students who currently attend Keicher Elementary are served by 16 classroom teachers, two Title I Reading teachers, one CI teacher, three LD teachers, one music teacher, one P.E. teacher, and one computer/library teacher. Many staff members have earned advanced degrees beyond the Bachelor Degree level and strive to meet the wide range of students' needs in a caring manner.
Expanded curriculum offerings include an after-school program to assist students in math, Accelerated Reader program which motivates student to read, and a web based program academic program assisting students in all academic areas called Study Island.
